LOS ANGELES (Fall Out Boy Official Website) - After premiering their brand new single, "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race," in a live performance at the 34th annual American Music Awards last week, multi-platinum, two-time MTV VMA award-winning Island Records group Fall Out Boy announces its first tour dates of 2007 – scheduled to begin January 4th at the Warfield in San Francisco, and wrap up at the House Of Blues in Orlando on January 20th. On tour with Fall Out Boy will New Found Glory, Early November and Permanent Me. The shows will be in intimate venues for fans to preview the band's new tunes. Dates and more info to be announced soon on www.falloutboyrock.com and www.friendsorenemies.com.

"This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" – which can be heard streaming online now at www.falloutboyrock.com – is the first single pick from INFINITY ON HIGH, the long-awaited new album, which will arrive in stores on February 6, 2007. In an unprecedented move, Fall Out Boy fans have been asked to submit cover art designs for the iTunes Music Store pre- order version of the album. The winning design will be announced on January 13th, the day that the pre-order begins at iTunes Music Store.

INFINITY ON HIGH is the follow-up From Under The Cork Tree, Fall Out Boy's Island debut, which has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide since its release in May 2005. The new album reunites the group with with Neal Avron, who produced, recorded and mixed Cork Tree. The new album also finds Fall Out Boy working with megastar hitmaking R&B producer Babyface for the first time.

In another unprecedented move, "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" shipped to radio the same night as the AMA performance (on Tuesday night, November 21st). In its first and second week out, the track was No 1 Most Added at Pop and Alternative radio, with top stations in Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco lining up early behind the single. Impact date at all pop and rock formats is set for December 4th.

After winning the coveted MTV2 Award in 2005 (for their first Island single, "Sugar, We're Going Down"), Chicago's Fall Out Boy – Patrick Stump (vocals/guitar), Pete Wentz (bass), Joe Troh.man (guitar), and Andy Hurley (drums) – picked up their second consecutive moonman this past September, when the video for their second Island single ("Dance, Dance") won 2006's MTV VMA Viewers Choice Award. They also received last year's Grammy nomination in the highly competitive Best New Artist category.

In all, Fall Out Boy's single track record is impeccable: On the MTV TRL side, all three video clips – "Sugar, We're Going Down" (which went to No 1), "Dance, Dance," and "Sixteen Candles" were all "retired" after their requisite 50 week runs. At various radio formats, "Sugar" and "Dance, Dance" were both Top 5 hits. From Under The Cork Tree spent a total of 72 weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Formed from Chicago's hardcore scene in 2000, Fall Out Boy built their loyal fanbase online and on tour across the US and abroad. They have appeared on the covers of Spin, Blender, and Alternative Press and have performed on NBC's Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien, CBS's The Late Show with David Letterman, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live, and more.
