Burlington, VT (Ruffline Entertainment) - Ruffline Entertainment has set a digital release date of December 15th for Kryme Lifes hot club single "The Apple". The song is also set to appear on the album "The Kryme Wave" that will be out in February 2007. The single is to be released digitally through I.O.D.A and distributed to radio stations around the country. With a brilliant metaphor and sexy lyrics the song certainly "shakes it up, and makes juice" for Staten Island, and even as a radio friendly club song doesn't lose a single drop of the grime NY is known for.
After spending years in the shadows of the Wu and being involved with Ghostface Killah and Theodore Unit, Kryme Life is stepping up to deliver the album that the streets have long been waiting for. The album set to be released in February is Kryme Life's debut solo LP, "The Kryme Wave". "The Kryme Wave" steps up and represents reality street rap, Gaten Island Style, with killer beats, hardcore rhymes, exceptional wordplay, and mind-bending metaphors. Though "The Apple" is just one of 18 tracks on his debut album, the track shows his lyrical genius in a whole new light. Known for exceptional wordplay and intricate story telling every time he steps to the mic, Kryme shows his ability to write and produce a mainstream hit with this track and will surely build even more anticipation for the upcoming album.
The track was recorded in Staten Island and engineered by Cue Trax at Lifestyle Media. Layed down during a 5 song session at Lifestyle, the track is a fun sexy club song that is radio friendly, but still has that grimey NY flavor for which Kryme is known. The track is laden with metaphors that add the sex to a catchy club beat, a rare escape from the reality street rap that he has been delivering from a young age. However, it is just one of the many styles and subject matters that are encompassed in what maybe one of the most personal solo debut albums in some time.
Kryme Life's "The Apple" will be available as a permanent download, ringtone, and consumers will be able to share and stream the song from many different online music stores. Also available is Kryme Life's EP "Thugs in da Club" released earlier this year through Ruffline Entertainment. Due to it being an independent release, radio stations may take a little while to pick it up in each market, but it is sure to get out there once the fans hear the music.
Ruffline Entertainment is a small indie record label based in Burlington VT. Focused on letting artists deliver their music to the public the way they intended it to be heard. Currently wrapping up work on "The Kryme Wave" and two other projects that are soon to be released, Ruffline intends to make an impact on the market by delivering true Hip-Hop back to the fans instead of the dry synthetic stuff being pumped out by the major labels. Furthermore, with the opening of their new studio (Burlington Factory Studios), Ruffline plans on attracting many more artists that want to put out real music and have some control and ownership of their creations.
