TORONTO, Canada (Nickelback Fans) - Nickelback is back on the road in North America following a trip to Japan to promote its album, Silver Side Up. The Vancouver group's trip to the Far East was a success beyond the group's expectations.

Frontman Chad Kroeger tells, "The response to the band was phenomenal. We played one show over there and it sold out in five minutes and we just had no idea that we were gonna get that kind of response. We thought we were gonna be going down there and starting over. They had us play the first MTV Music Awards there and it was just very cool."

Kroeger adds, "The Japanese are amazing. The way of life over there is just so different from anything you've ever seen, if you've never been to Japan."

Nickelback's tour with Jerry Cantrell arrives Wednesday (June 5) at the UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans.
