BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Warner Bros. Records) - One of the world's most influential, innovative and critically revered rock bands, DEFTONES, have confirmed a nationwide American tour beginning in May and running through July 2007. Following several months of non-stop global touring covering Mexico, South America, Japan, Australia,
Europe and the UK,
Deftones triumphantly return home in May for a major US tour in support of their current album, "SATURDAY NIGHT WRIST."
The new single from "SATURDAY NIGHT WRIST," "Mein," features a supporting vocal contribution from Serj Tankian from System of A Down and will impact airwaves immediately. The stunning video for the track was directed by Bernard Gourley, best known for his hip-hop film work with DJ Khaled, Pitbull, Too $hort and many others. The clip was filmed in downtown LA and in the LA River and celebrates hip-hop street culture with real characters and raw energy in a way that will surprise Deftones fans as well as fans of dance and club culture. Keep an eye out for the "Mein" video online and on airwaves shortly.
Deftones are also one of the participating artists in Virgin Mobile's RE*Generation program to help teens at risk. Deftones have donated an instrumental version of "Hole In the Earth," as an exclusive ringtone available only at: https://www.virginmobileusa.com/regeneration.
100% of the royalties generated from sales of the ringtone will be donated to this pro-social initiatives program aimed at building awareness of vital issues surrounding teen homelessness.
