Modest Mouse Announce North American 2007 Tour

NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Epic Records) - Modest Mouse has announced the first leg of their World Tour in support of their new album We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, released March 20. The tour begins April 15 in Seattle, WA and winds down on May 16th in San Jose, CA. The band will also make a stop in LA before the tour starts for a special KROQ show at Magic Mountain on March 23rd.

We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank was produced by Dennis Herring (Good News), and is already hitting new heights as the stellar reviews and sales numbers start pouring in. The new album is currently the No 1 selling album at iTunes and the No 2 album at Amazon.com. We Were Dead's first single, Dashboard, has sold close to 70,000 copies and is already entrenched on radio and video outlet playlists.

The band's last album, Good News For People Who Love Bad News, released in 2004, has sold over 1.5 million copies, was nominated for 2 Grammy Awards and included the hit single 'Float On.'
