Jeremy Buck, formerly of Stone Carnival, took this second album as a chance to focus on simplifying his music and finding his genre, albeit a genre unique to Jeremy Buck & The Bang. 'We wanted people to take in Fools Gold as a whole. Hopefully, everyone finds themselves someplace new when it's over,' says Buck.

Although nearly completely recorded in-house by Buck (drums, vocals, keyboard), Chris Hanna (guitar) and Joel Geist (bass), they looked to the skills of legendary mix-master, Kevin 'Caveman' Shirley, at the Document Room in Malibu, CA to fine tune and mix the album. Shirley has worked with artists including Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page, The Black Crowes, Aerosmith, Metallica, Bon Jovi and Iron Maiden.

While spending nearly two years touring the United States and Japan in support of the debut CD, Secret Made of Dreams (Chateau Motel Records), Jeremy and his newly named band, The Bang, took to the studio, whenever the opportunity arose, to work on this new release, Fools Gold. The album's first single, 'Bang Bang' was released in December 2006 and is quickly becoming a fan favorite.
