Hollywood,CA. (Top40 Charts/ Baby Boy Records) - Bigg Joe has just completed his debut CD under the Baby Boy Records label entitled "I Like Big Girls." The Forth Worth, Texas native, aka the "Luther Vandross of Southern Soul," is making big girls across the country feel good about themselves. His hit record is selling "big" to guess who? To everyone, but especially - that's right - "big girls."

His lyrics and music are just the right combination message that says to big girls that "you are attractive and I like you - no matter what Hollywood and the fashion industry are telling you." This comes at a time when the female public has had enough of the constant bombardment of "thin is beautiful" advertising, promotion and imagery that are constantly being peddled by filmmakers, entertainment publishers and fashion designers. Strange as it may seem to contemporary Americans "big" was once considered fashionably correct (e.g. "The Andromeda" classic by Peter Paul Rubens, 1638, was one of the most popular pin-ups of its day).

The album "I Like Big Girls" under the label of Baby Boy Records has been nominated as the "Best Blues Label Award of the Year" and Bigg Joe has been nominated as "Blues & Soul Man of The Year" by Jus' Blues Music, a Georgia private company whose main purpose is to promote and preserve the artists and artistry of Blues music of African-Americans.

Jerome Knight, Editor & Chief of Chittlin' Circuit Magazine, stated, "Judging from the public reaction 'I Like Big Girls' is the biggest hit I have seen in years - I expect it to sell well into the summer." The Chittlin' Circuit Magazine, in its next issue, will feature Bigg Joe and his new hit record. Baby Boy Records Chairman Bernie Klein stated, "Due to the tremendous positive reaction by the general public and music critics, the theme song of the album 'I Like Big Girls' will be released as a single this summer." Klein also stated, "Personally dedicated by Bigg Joe to all the beautiful and voluptuous women, the funky hit 'I Like Big Girls' promises to be a summertime favorite!"
