NEW YORK (Billboard) - Reacting to various statements that suggest infighting amongst their children, Joseph and Kathryn Jackson released their own statement asserting the family's unified support of son Michael as his gala 30th anniversary tribute celebration approaches. "During the past few days we've read and heard reports of press statements and interviews by our sons Jermaine, Randy and Marlon," the Jacksons said. "Unfortunately, these statements have cast a cloud over the anticipated celebrations. We have spoken to Jermaine and know that his intentions were not to hurt anyone, especially Michael." As previously reported, Jermaine Jackson issued a statement a week ago claiming he and brother Randy had not yet signed on to appear at the tribute due to various concerns. Marlon Jackson later countered those claims, saying Randy would indeed be taking part in a reunion of the original Jacksons.
