Lima, Ohio (Top40 Charts/ Salem's Wych Fans Website) - Ron Johnson, lead singer of the 80's metal band SALEM'S WYCH, died on April 23 in Lima, Ohio from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Johnson is survived by two children, a life companion Cindy Ritchie, his mother, father and a sister.

SALEM'S WYCH is one of the original '80s bands along with METALLICA, ANTHRAX, SLAYER and HELSTAR to usher in a style of metal blended with punk influences that went on to spawn what is now known as thrash metal.
