Santa Monica, CA (Top40 Charts/ Vagrant Records) - ALEXISONFIRE have announced yet another round of U.S. tour dates, which will take the band coast to coast, from New York to Los Angeles in 15 days. The All Hands On Deck tour supporting
Funeral For A Friend will kick off at New York City's Knitting Factory on June 12th and will include a special headlining show on June 21st at Portland's Hawthorne Theatre.
Fightstar and Vagrant labelmates
Emanuel will be supporting on all dates. Please see all dates below.
Alexisonfire have also announced the third video from their latest release, Crisis (Vagrant, 2006), will be for the song "Rough Hands." Marc Ricciardelli, who directed five of the band's previous videos, will begin shooting May 15th.
Alexisonfire have been touring Canada, Europe, Australia and the U.K. nonstop since the release of Crisis, and this tour will mark Alexisonfire's fifth round across the U.S. in less than one year. With almost 43,000 copies of Crisis sold in the U.S. alone, and extensive airplay on FUSE TV, the demand for Alexisonfire has been urgent, and the band is heeding the call. Wonkavision magazine stated "It's going to be difficult to ignore an album like Crisis," and it seems they were right.
The title track from Crisis was inspired by the blizzard of 1977 - the only blizzard to be declared a national disaster by the U.S. and Canadian governments. The album artwork features photos taken from the 1978 book "White Death - The Blizzard of '77" by Erno Rossi. After Alexisonfire's recent nomination at the Juno Awards for CD/DVD Artwork Of The Year, Rossi has been inspired to include the lyrics to "Crisis" in the upcoming latest reprint of this 29-year old classic true-life tale.
