Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Arista Records) - New Arista Nashville hitmaker Jason Michael Carroll has emerged as one of this year's breakthrough country artists, debuting at No 1 with his first album, Waitin' in the Country, and seeing his first single, 'Alyssa Lies,' go Top 5 at country radio. Amid the excitement of this year's CMA Music Festival, where Carroll will perform at tonight's main stage show at LP Field, as well as tomorrow's Riverfront Daytime Stages show, Carroll has now been announced as the opening act on a stretch of September and October dates for the superstar Brooks & Dunn/Alan Jackson tour, currently underway.

With his latest single, 'Livin' Our Love Song,' climbing the charts to No 23 at Billboard/R&R and No 24 in Country Aircheck, Carroll's Waitin' in the Country disc makes an impressive leap, surging 32% in this week's SoundScan sales tally.

Carroll will begin opening the Brooks & Dunn/Alan Jackson tour on September 26, with nine shows on tap through mid-October. Fans can look for Jason Michael on these dates:
