MEMPHIS, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Ardent Studios) - Singer/songwriter Maynard James Keenan has been recording vocals for his debut solo project Puscifer, with engineer Matt Mitchell at Ardent Studios in Memphis. Keenan is well known as frontman of the alternative band Tool, and also for his popular side project A Perfect Circle.

Keenan dropped in at Ardent while Tool was in the area for a concert at Desoto Civic Center. Ardent actually hosted the first studio sessions for Keenan's new dark and rhythmic material, which has been heretofore recorded al fresco on the road during the Tool tour. The project continues through June, conciding with Tool's headline appearance at the 4-day 2007 Bonnaroo Music Festival in nearby Manchester, Tennessee.
