Carolina Rain Returns To Belmont!

NASHVILLE, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Equity Music Group) - Equity Music Group's Carolina Rain headed back to Belmont University 's campus with Channel 4's Jennifer Vickery, to give her a tour of the group's roots for a new episode of Nashville Music & More. The piece airs this Saturday, July 21st at 6:30pm CENTRAL time.

Belmont is where Carolina Rain's Rhean Boyer, Marvin Evatt and Jeremy Baxter first came together. Rhean was working as a campus security guard when Marvin applied for a similar position. It wasn't long before the two were riding around in a squad car, writing songs together. 'We wrote songs, instead of tickets,' Rhean laughs. After meeting Jeremy, they helped him land a job as a Belmont security guard, too. The trio usually worked the same shift and spent all of their downtime harmonizing, songwriting and rehearsing. Their first songwriting collaboration, ' Carolina Rain,' named the group.
