NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ American Recordings/ Columbia Records) - American Recordings/Columbia Records will release "Luna Halo," the major label debut album from the Nashville-based rock & roll band Luna Halo, on Tuesday, October 30.

"I usually wake up hearing music in my head," said 2007 Grammy winning Producer of the Year Rick Rubin, who executive produced "Luna Halo." "I can't tell you how many times it has been a Luna Halo song."

Produced by Neal Avron (Yellowcard, Fall Out Boy, Everclear), "Luna Halo" premieres 11 new recordings from this taut and fiery rock & roll ensemble including "Kings & Queens," "Untouchable," "Medicate," "I'm Alright," "On My Way," "On Your Side," "The Fool," "Big Escape," "Falling Down," "English Boys," and "World On Fire."

"Luna Halo" was recorded at the Sunset Sound Factory in Hollywood, mixed at Paramount Studios and mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in New York City during the summer of 2006.

The uplifting and hook-filled songs of Luna Halo have been finding their way into the metabolism of popular culture. "Kings & Queens" was chosen as the theme song for both the 2007 NHL Stanley Cup playoff and the final season of the CBS television hit series "King of Queens." "On My Way" has been licensed for use in the CBS supernatural suspense series "Ghost Whisperer" while "I'm Alright" may be heard in the Empire Interactive video game, "Flatout," slated for release this summer.

Luna Halo is: founding member Nathan Barlowe on lead vocals and guitar, his brother Cary Barlowe on vocals and guitar, bassist Aaron Jenkins, and drummer Chris Coleman.

Luna Halo has maintained a busy schedule, touring North America and Europe extensively and opening for Velvet Revolver, Hoobastank, Kid Rock, Joan Jett, and Rockstar Supernova, among others.
