LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ TMS) - Three months away from the release of their debut The Autumn Machine and Long Island-based indie-metal band SILENT FATE is already making a loud noise.

The members of SILENT FATE gladly assumed production duties for their October 2 album release. Almost immediately after completion of the CD, SILENT FATE unexpectedly found their production skills put to the test. A track the band produced "on a whim" for a rising hip-hop star was selected as one of three finalists in MP3.com's Remix Contest. The group seamlessly melded hard rock with rap, earning a competition-winning 60+ACU- percent of the vote.

Even before conclusion of the contest, demand for SILENT FATE's keen production style was being sought. Artists in all genres of music are reaching out to the band via their website, www.silent-fate.com, asking them to contribute and remix tracks for a variety of projects.

SILENT FATE is currently on location at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, filming music videos for two tracks off their upcoming release: the hard-hitting, metal original "Whisper My Sweet Dear," and a powerful and ingenious reworking of the Duran Duran classic "Come Undone."

In just one week, lead single "Whisper My Sweet Dear" charted on Clear Channel Radio's "New+ACE- Discover Music" chart. Overnight, the song shot up from the lower echelons of the tally to within the Top 150, where it continues to climb.
