Fairgrounds Plaza Vallejo, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Gospel Fest) - Gospel Fest 2007 takes place on Saturday, August 25, 2007, at Chabot Stadium inside Six Flags Discovery Kingdom at 1001 Fairgrounds Plaza Vallejo, California.

The California Gospel Fest is the Bay Area's largest outdoor gospel event of its kind. The festival offers local, national and international Gospel entertainment on two stages with more than 50 performances. The California Gospel Fest serves to seek and celebrate the creative, historical and social significance of Gospel music, an art form created by the African American community, having a great impact on American culture and history today. The California Gospel Fest has confirmed Fred Hammond, J. Moss, Shalyric Self (Mama I Want to Sing Demetrius Tolefree, Lola Holoman and Company, Lily of the Valley Church, Five AM Praise and 15 other performances for this one-day festival that has attracted more than 5,000 Gospel music lovers.

Gospel Fest has been in existence for more than five years and has featured notable gospel entertainers including Walter Hawkins, Mary Mary, Yolanda Adams, Daryl Coley, Men of Standard, John P. Kee & New Life Community Choir, The Williams Brothers, Fred Hammond & Radical For Christ, Bobby Jones & New Life, Sounds of Blackness, Richard Smallwood & Vision, Dottie Peoples & The Peoples Chorale, Shirley Caesar, Kierra Kiki Sheard, The Winans, Smokie Norful and Tye Tribbett. This year's fest includes some pretty big names, along with some artists you've probably never heard of, unless you're a church regular or gospel enthusiast.
Gospel Fest tickets are $40 and are available vis the web at www.gospelfest07.com. General Admission includes Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Park (required to attend) and Gospel Fest Admission.
