NASHVILLE, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Kindling Music) - Steve Earl, Gram Parsons, The Allmans, Willie, Waylon, Johnny, Hank and now Brian Byrne? These are some of the many influences Byrne has drawn from for his second solo album Tailor Made. This mix of outlaw country and dirty southern rock music will be released on September 4, 2007 on Kindling Music.

Tailor Made is the next step on Byrne's musical journey that began at an early age in Steady Brook, Newfoundland where you could hear country music fighting rock on any given day. Music fans first came to know Bryne in the 90s after he moved to Toronto and won the prized position of becoming the new lead singer for successful rock band I Mother Earth. 10 years, 3 records and hundreds of shows around the world later Byrne started to rediscover his love for country music.

Country music has always been about good stories and melodies that are simple, genuine and honest. Tuesdays, Thursdays & If It Rains (Kindling Music, 2005) was Byrne's first attempt to bridge the gap between what he had done in the past and where he was headed. It was a mix of straight up pop-rock with definitive country influences. His first couple years as a solo artist earned him a East Coast Music Awards and Canadian Radio Music Awards nomination and saw him share stages with the likes of INXS, Blackie and The Rodeo Kings, Matt Mays and El Torpedo, Collective Soul, Sam Roberts and The Road Hammers.

Tailor Made was written almost entirely on the road and tells stories of too much drink, late night characters, missing loved ones and trying to find a way back home. Banjos, pianos, pedal steels, harps and beer-bottle slides all find their rightful place on the new album skillfully co-produced by Byrne and long-time friend and engineer Lorne Hounsell.

It's a tasty stew of barn-burner rockers like the title track 'Tailor Made' and 'Mountain Feeling', southern shuffles like 'Beautiful You' and the first single/video 'Crazy' and sweet melancholy country ballads like 'Easy Come' and 'Love You More'.

Byrne is ready to take the country music scene by storm as he will kick off the album launch during the Canadian Country Music Awards festival in Regina, Saskatchewan this September. He recruited a talented bunch of musicians for his touring band that features Bob Egan (Blue Rodeo/Wilco), Christian Tanna (I Mother Earth) and Gerry Finn (David Usher).
Byrne is sitting at the wheel, looking down a long, dirty, country road and eager to get on it to start this next journey. Tour dates will be announced soon.
