NASHVILLE, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Warner Bros. Records) - Nashville up-and-comers American Bang, who have been on the road with ZZ Top this summer, will hit the road with the Donnas on September 19th, unleashing their unruly brand of Southern-fried garage-rock to audiences across the U.S. The band, who performed at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and Summerfest, are also gearing up to release their major-label debut EP, "Move to the Music," which will be released by Warner Bros. Records on October 23rd. The EP's title track, "Move To The Music," is already being featured in Verizon's new Motorola Q campaign across TV, radio and online promotions.

The EP is just a taste of what fans can expect to hear when American Bang, which is singer-guitarist Jaren Johnston, guitarist Ben Brown, bassist Kelby Ray, and drummer Neil Mason, release their debut full-length album on Warner Bros. Records next year. The band have been in Los Angeles working with multi-platinum producer James Michael. "He is one of the most talented dudes on the planet! James Michael really did an amazing job producing, as well as drinkin' beer," said vocalist Jaren Johnston.

Influenced by everyone from the Black Crowes and Lenny Kravitz to the Sex Pistols and the Dead Kennedys, American Bang formed in Nashville in June 2005. They quickly built a grass-roots following, engaging audiences with their blistering, no-holds-barred live shows. As Knoxville's Metro Pulse put it earlier this year: "American Bang is a balls-out rock juggernaut that takes its cues as much from AC/DC as from Elvin Bishop. At certain moments, the band even channels some of the kinetic proto-punk energy as the Stooges or the MC5." Nashville City Paper called them "one of the city's sharpest performing ensembles - and one clearly ready for national stardom."

A self-released LP - "I Shot the King" - led American Bang to playing packed shows with AutoVaughn, Jeremy Lister, Shooter Jennings, O.A.R., and Lynyrd Skynyrd in 2006, the same year they signed with Warner Bros. Records. Be sure to catch them on tour this fall - all dates are below. For more on American Bang, please visit www.myspace.com/bangrock / www.americanbangrock.com.
