LOS ANGELES (MAP Awards) - Scott Weiland will leave his Stone Temple Pilots at home on Nov. 7 when he makes a solo appearance as part of the festivities at the MAP Awards in Los Angeles.

This year's honorees at the annual soiree, thrown by the Musician's Assistance Program, will honor the Neville Brothers' Ivan Neville, ex-Thelonious Monster ringleader Bob Forrest, and Recording Industry Association of America CEO Hilary Rosen.

In addition to Weiland, the Neville Brothers, and Forrest, the eclectic list of performers also includes Dr. John, Jimmie Vaughan, Daniel Lanois, ex-Porno for Pyros/Cult bassist Martyn LeNoble, Gary Le Mel, and Billy Childs.

Robert Downey Jr. will host the awards, which take place at the House of Blues.
