TORONTO, Canada (MuchMusic Website) - In the world of hip-hop we generally hear about music from the East and West Coasts, the Mid-West, and most recently the Dirty South. Now with the arrival of Clipse and their debut release Lord Willin' they are introducing the Virginia streets to the hip hop world. Missy Elliot and Timbaland have represented Virginia in the past, but Clipse have the added advantage of being produced by the hottest team around, the Neptunes, and they're on the Neptunes label as well. Clipse spoke to MuchMusic in Toronto about working with the famous producing duo. "They're not just your typical producers, they're not beat makers, they're the epitome of the term producer," said Pusha T of the Clipse. Malice from Clipse added, "[They're] innovators as well, they don't just come with the music, they come with the whole vision, they make people believe." When asked about their success thus far, Pusha T said: "It's a beautiful thing. We're just happy that everybody is taking a liking to us. We just love the fact that we won, that we're winning with the record."
Clipse will be back in Canada on November 18th when they open up for Nelly at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
