VANCOUVER, B.C. (Bif Naked Official Website/NY Post) - Canadian superstar
Bif Naked is poised to attack the road again with a new tour in support of her recently released third album, "Purge."
The rocker will embark on a headlining tour beginning Nov. 4 in Syracuse, N.Y., that will last through the end of the year with a hometown gig in Vancouver.
"I've always been a live performer," said Bif. "It's nice to have gold and platinum albums but it's the performing that keeps my blood flowing."
"Purge," released nearly a year earlier in her home country, has already been certified gold in Canada and garnered excellent reviews and significant radio airplay in cities throughout the U.S. "Purge" is also the home to the track "I Love Myself Today," which is prominently featured in the current General Motors television ad for the company's 2003 line.
Bif Naked's calling card is an infectious blend of pop hooks and bad girl attitude that have sent her previous album "I Bificus" to platinum status and earned Bif spots on numerous desirable festival events, in addition to her usual touring schedule.
"These past few years I've been lucky to be one of the only females in the rock category to headline summer festivals," said Bif. "Everything from 4,000 to 20,000 per event. But what was really exciting is the large number of people who came out to see our performances when we performed in Buffalo and Boston for the SnoJam events recently. It's a great experience to play away from your home and have people who know the songs and show up to see you perform."
"Bif Naked follows up her I Bificus' disc with a peppy rocker that has a blast of Joan Jett mixed into rich pop melodies and edgy guitars." - New York Post
"-audacious songs that are as enjoyable as they are impossible to ignore-Bif Naked is a renegade, bold and beautiful to the core." - Rolling Stone Online
