Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ 1720 Entertainment) - On Friday, April 11, emerging country star Rissi Palmer will be among several artists who will perform at the "Salute to Our Heroes" celebration honoring all who have served in our country's military. The day long event that begins at 12:30pm and continues thru midnite, will be open to soldiers, their family members, retirees, Gold Star Families, Department of Defense Civilians and contractors. More than 80,000 in all are expected to attend. The concert will take place at Hood Stadium located on the Fort Hood Military base and will be broadcast around the world at www.synclive.com.

Palmer will no doubt be performing material from her self-titled debut on 1720 Entertainment that was released in October and has since made its way into the Top 10 on iTunes' country sales chart. The album features nine songs co-written by Palmer, including the Top 40 "Country Girl" and her latest single, "Hold On To Me."

Palmer has created quite a buzz since launching her new CD and has received widespread attention from mainstream media such as People, Wall Street Journal, Billboard, GIANT, Newsweek, Country Weekly, New York Post and more. She has also been featured on Extra, CMT, CNN Headline News, GAC, WGN National News, TV Guide Networks, Tavis Smiley's Radio Show and Dr. Maya Angelou's XM Radio Show, to name a few. She fulfilled a lifelong dream of hers when she made her Grand Ole Opry debut in June. She has since performed on the hallowed stage five times, an impressive feat for a new artist.

Rissi Palmer truly comes to the table with the combination of beauty, talent, passion and experience - all which have brought her to the forefront among country's hottest young talent. She is poised to become one of country music's brightest new stars.
