VANCOUVER, BC (Top40 Charts/ Nettwerk Records) - Acclaimed singer-songwriter Griffin House, after seeing his April 28 Joe's Pub CD release show sell out weeks in advance, is confirmed to play New York's "Live From Home" benefit series on May 16. Taking place at the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe in Soho, the expertly curated series has previously hosted such influential artists as John Mellencamp, Lyle Lovett, Rosanne Cash, Ryan Adams and Bright Eyes among others. House's set will include "instantly cool songs" (USA Today) from the powerful new album 'Flying Upside Down,'(Nettwerk) which hits stores April 29. The 13 song collection of originals draws intimate and personal portraits of scenes from House's life and showcases the striking voice of an artist who has come into his own. These Griffin House shows follow a string of recent sellouts in Chicago, Philadelphia and elsewhere. His spring residency at The Living Room drew standing-room only audiences, some of whom were already familiar with 'Flying Upside Down' and enthusiastically sang along with the new songs. Soon after his New York shows, House will head west touring with Newton Faulkner.
