Chayanne invited to be featured guest artist at Miss World Pageant

NEW YORK (Chayanne Fans Website) - Puerto Rican singer Chayanne has been invited to be the featured guest artist to perform in the Miss World Beauty Pageant 2002, set for Dec.7 in Abuja, Nigeria.

The invitation was confirmed by Chaf Enterprises, Chayanne’s management company in Miami, Florida. The artist will travel with his dance team to sing one song during the final evening of the pageant. Shown on television around the world, the Miss World Pageant with Chayanne’s performance will be viewed in approximately 135 countries by at least two billion people.

The handsome Latin singer/dancer/actor will perform Torero, included in his new DVD, Grandes Exitos (Greatest Hits) from Sony International. Chayanne may sing a "spanglish” version, (English/Spanish), of the Bullfighter song. Torero in Spanish has been number one on the Latin Music charts for a number of months in several European countries.

Before Chayanne arrives in Abuja, he will spend several days in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he will promote his most recent CD, Grandes Exitos which has sold more than a million copies world-wide.

Chayanne has also announced that his chart-topping song, Y Tu Te Vas (You Walk Away) will be one of the songs for the new telenovela for TV Globe in Brazil called “O Beijo Do Vampiro” (The Kiss Of The Vampire)
