New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Flavorpill) - Since Switch never quite made it to Sullivan Room due to "visa" issues, RUN don't walk to Flavorpill's next edition of the One Step Beyond series at the American Museum of Natural History's Rose Center for Earth & Space, quite possible the coolest space to hear electronic music in NYC right now. The next party launches on Friday, May 30, 2008, from 9pm to 1am, with dance-floor magic from opener Van Scott and late-night tech-funk with famed UK producer/DJ Switch. Tickets are $20, which includes space-age visuals by Fuevoz (with VJs SeeJ and Benton-C), entry to the Museum's breathtaking Passport to the Universe Space Show, and a pass for one future Museum visit. Tickets are available in advance at www.amnh.org. This event will sell out, so advance tickets purchase is recommended. Entrance to the event is now located on Central Park West at West 79th Street.

Van Scott has seen a volcanic rise to fame in the New York club scene. Squeezing electro, techno, and indie into a high-energy centrifuge, he has played alongside heavy-hitters such as Swayzak, Princess Superstar, and Trentemoller. Scott is a turntable chameleon, equally comfortable DJing down 'n dirty residencies at Studio B and Sullivan Room and elite parties hosted by celebrity photographer Patrick McMullan and fashion icon Patricia Field.

Switch (aka Dave Taylor, and also known as Solid Groove) has created his own type of innovative jacking house that draws from the best bits of electronic music. Over the last year, the Dubsided Records label owner produced much of M.I.A.'s critically acclaimed album Kala, remixed everyone from Medhi to P Diddy, and continues to DJ all over the world, with frequent stops at his high-profile residency at London's Fabric club.

The Rose Center for Earth and Space is one of the most engaging and beautiful public spaces in the world. Inside One Step Beyond, attendees can check out complimentary screenings of Passport to the Universe the breathtaking Space Show that launches visitors on a thrilling trip through space and time, narrated by Tom Hanks, explore the Cullman Hall of the Universe, view a re-creation of the Big Bang, and see artifacts of space and science, while the DJs and live acts provide suitably otherworldly experiences.
The One Step Beyond series continues on June 27 with headliner Talib Kweli.
