The house is situated at 8427 Timken Avenue in Warren, Michegan just north of Detroit. It has apparently been in the family for around 50 years.

The sellers describe it as being "on a quiet, tree-lined street, conveniently located near major freeways. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, some hardwood floors, structurally sound. All major appliances included". It was built in 1940.

Warren population is 36,433. 47.4% are male, 52.6% female. 96.1% are white, 1.3% black and the remainder of other nationalities. There is a 5.1% unemployment rate in the area. The average house price in the area is $84,900 but the bidding has opened at $120,000.
