NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Kandystand Official Website) - With the music industry changing rapidly, and projects having to be brought in on ever tighter budgets and schedules, the internet has opened up a global market place to work with a new breed of 'virtual music production teams'.
This is just how Kandystand delivered their new single 'Everybody - The Electro Remixes', taken from their top selling dance music album 'Watch Out Here I Come'.
The band recorded the single in Amsterdam, had it remixed in New York by top remixer DJ Alex Twister, had it mastered in the UK by leading mastering house Audiomasters, and are delivering to the public via Apple iTunes!
Kandystand's DJ Alodis says 'The idea for the remixed single came about earlier this year, when leading NYC DJ Alex Twister contacted us to let us know that he had fallen in love with the track 'Everybody' and that he thought an electro slant would work well for the clubs in New York'.
'We decided to utilize the power of the internet to get this project completed, as Kandystand is based in The Netherlands, Alex Twister is based in New York, and our mastering engineers are in the UK!'
The track is true transatlantic internet collaboration, with vocalist Katy Dos vocals and DJ Alodiso music being sent electronically over to Alex Twister's studios in New York, where the tracks were remixed, then posted on the Audiomaster server in the UK for mastering. They were then finally delivered back to Kandystand's record company in Holland ready for distribution via online services such as iTunes.
'We wanted to use Alex Twister on this track as he comes with a pedigree, having remixed iconic dance artists such as DJ Sammy, Trans X, Bad Boys Blue and Loona, so we used broadband to deliver and receive tracks and collaborate over the net, which saved a lot of time and cost. The whole thing took just over 2 weeks end to end'.
Everybody - The Electro Remixes will be available from 29th September 2008 via iTunes, Amazon, Junodownload.com, and CDBaby.com
