New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Levon Helm has been added to the star-studded line-up of performers at this year's All for the Hall New York benefit at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square on Wednesday, October 15. Also appearing will be Helm's frequent collaborator, renowned multi-instrumentalist Larry Campbell. Presented as an old-fashioned Nashville-style "guitar pull," the benefit will feature songs, stories, unique musical collaborations and memories from some of country music's biggest names, including Rodney Crowell, Vince Gill and Emmylou Harris. Hosting the special evening will be Billy Bob Thornton and his band, the Boxmasters, who will kick off the one-of-a-kind musical event with a full-band performance.

The longtime drummer for The Band, Levon Helm is a musician, singer, songwriter, producer, author, voiceover artist, actor, and all-around American treasure. A member of Bob Dylan's band on his first electric tour, Helm went on to form The Band, and in 1968 the group released Music From Big Pink, the first in a string of classic records that established them as one of music's most legendary acts. In 2007, Helm released Dirt Farmer, his first studio album in 25 years. The critically acclaimed record received the 2008 Grammy Award for Best Traditional Folk Album. In September, the Americana Music Association honored Helm as Artist of the Year. Helm has appeared in such films as Coal Miner's Daughter, The Right Stuff, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada and Shooter. He is known for his Midnight Rambles, late-night concert sessions held at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY, featuring some of the most notable names in entertainment and music.

Larry Campbell is a renowned multi-instrumentalist, moving freely between rock, blues, country, folk and Celtic, playing guitar, fiddle, mandolin, pedal steel, cittern, Dobro and banjo. A veteran of Bob Dylan's Endless Tour, he also played on Dylan's critically acclaimed album Love and Theft. In 2005, he released Rooftops, his first solo acoustic guitar album. Campbell and his wife, vocalist Teresa Williams, appeared on Helm's Grammy Award-winning Dirt Farmer, which Campbell co-produced with Helm's daughter Amy Helm. Campbell is a regular performer at Levon Helm's Midnight Rambles and has toured with the Levon Helm Band. Campbell tours with Phil Lesh and Friends, and has performed with artists including Elvis Costello, Emmylou Harris, B. B. King, Willie Nelson and Linda Thompson.

Over a period of four decades, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has amassed a country music collection generally considered the finest and most complete in the world. Proceeds from the All for the Hall New York event support the care of the collection and the research and scholarship that inform the Museum's exhibitions and a wide variety of public programs.

All for the Hall New York patrons are offered tables for ten at the $25,000 and $10,000 levels and tables for eight at $7,500. Individual tickets are available at $750 per seat. The evening includes a cocktail reception, dinner, live auction and the guitar pull. To purchase a table or tickets or for more information, patrons may contact Jessica Jarve at [email protected] or telephone 615/416-2035 or 800/852-6437.
