NEW YORK (Saliva Fans Website) - Saliva's "Always" is the No 1 rock song at Modern Rock and Active Rock radio.

The song is the first single from the band's second Island album, Back Into Your System, which reunited the Memphis, Tennessee outfit with producer Bob Marlette (Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson), who helmed the group's 2001 label debut Every Six Seconds.

Singer Josey Scott told us the past two years have changed more than the band's sound. "I think we'd gone through a life transition," Scott said. "Not just musically, but in our lives, I think we had gone through a lot of changes and peaks and valleys, and Every Six Seconds was a really wide-eyed ambitious record. And Back Into Your System is more of the truth from then 'til now, through our eyes. A lot of the album is about us and a lot of the album is about people we knew and people we know. It's just about our life's, basically, our life's soundtrack, you know, up until now."

Saliva is currently on a short headlining tour. The band plays Heartland in South Bend, Indiana on Friday, January 24 and Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan on Saturday, January 25. The group kicks off a European jaunt with Slipknot offshoot band Stone Sour starting February 4.

Saliva's Scott is up for three Grammy nominations for "Hero," his collaboration with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger from the soundtrack to the film Spider-Man. The track is nominated for best rock song; best rock performance by a duo or group with vocal; and best song written for a motion picture, television, or other visual medium.
The 45th Annual Grammy Awards will take place in New York City on February 23, airing at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
