SYDNEY, Australia (Big Day Out Festival Website) - Some rock stars do it all for the nookie, and then others like Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters use their stardom for good. The Foos are currently headlining the Big Day Out Festival in Australia. The country has been suffering from out of control bushfires lately, and has subsequently enforced a fire ban. This means no fireworks for the Foo Fighters stage show. So, the good guys that they are have decided to donate the money that would have gone towards their pyrotechnic stage show, to the Canberra firefighters. Charity is not new to the Foo Fighters. In October the band announced they would be putting the revenue generated from sponsorship of their tour into a fund called "Future Forests" in an effort to fight global warming.
