Los Angeles, CA. (Top40 Charts/ CineMedia Promotions) - Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack for WHILE SHE WAS OUT, available via iTunes, Amazon Digital, and in stores on December 9, 2008. Paul Haslinger (Underworld, Vacancy) composed the original music for the film. In addition to Haslinger's music, the soundtrack also features "In Every Dream Home A Heartache" by Roxy Music and Kim Basinger's version of the Christmas classic "I'll Be Home For Christmas".

Grammy-nominated composer Paul Haslinger was classically trained in Salzburg and Vienna. In Vienna he began exploring the new domain of electronic music. He auditioned for and became a member of the pioneering group Tangerine Dream. During his five-year tenure with the group, Tangerine Dream released four albums and collaborated on several film projects including Miracle Mile, Near Dark, and Canyon Dreams.

After his tenure with Tangerine Dream, Haslinger continued his work as a solo artist. He honed his film scoring skills as the programmer for composer Graeme Revell, working on such films as Blow, The Negotiator, Siege, and Tomb Raider. In 2000 Haslinger composed the score for director John Stockwell's Cheaters. Since that film, his solo credit as a film composer, Haslinger has collaborated with Stockwell on his films Crazy/Beautiful, Blue Crush, and Into the Blue.

In addition to various solo projects and numerous scores his credits include: Vacancy, Shoot Em Up, Crank, Underworld, The Girl Next Door, and The Italian Job. Haslinger has earned a Grammy nomination for his work on the album, Canyon Dreams as well as an Emmy nomination for scoring the television mini series, Sleeper Cell: Al Faitha.

A suburban housewife (Kim Basinger) is forced to fend for herself when she becomes stranded in a desolate forest with four murderous thugs. What starts off as a quick trip to the mall ends in the woods with a fight for her life. All she has is a toolbox and her will to survive. WHILE SHE WAS OUT also stars Lukas Haas and Craig Sheffer and was directed by Susan Montford.

Anchor Bay Entertainment presents WHILE SHE WAS OUT in theaters in limited release on December 12, 2008. WHILE SHE WAS OUT original soundtrack on Lakeshore Records will be available via iTunes, Amazon Digital, and in stores on December 9th.
