NEW YORK (Metallica Fans Website) - Two years after he left the band, ex-Metallica bassist Jason Newsted says that his legal issues with the band have finally all been resolved.

The bass player is saying that he has no ill will toward his former bandmates and that his "little spies" have told him that Metallica is "kicking ass" in the studio.

Metallica's first album since Newsted's departure is due out within a few months. Newsted himself is busy as the new bass-player for Canadian metal legends Voivod, whose latest disc is set for a March release.
