MONTREAL, Canada (Carolyn Dawn Johnson Official Website) - News of the recent cancellation of Carolyn Dawn Johnson's co-headlining Canadian tour with Keith Urban was disappointing for Johnson, a native of Canada. The singer is more concerned, however, for Urban, whose persistent throat problems caused doctors to put the singer on a six-week period of voice rest. "Truly my main concern is for Keith," said Johnson via her website. "I'm a singer and I know how crucial it is to follow doctor's orders on something like this. Our voice is our instrument--it's both our livelihood and our passion. I know if it were me, I would want people to understand. I'm sending him a pad of paper and a pen to make sure he stays quiet for now! I love to hear Keith sing and I want to keep hearing him for a long time to come." Johnson and Urban are hoping to reschedule the tour, which was to have kicked off February 4 in Hamilton. "We have been so excited about this tour," added Johnson. "We've been planning and looking forward to this for months." Johnson is currently working on her sophomore album, scheduled for release later this year.
