NEW YORK (Coldplay Fans Website) - Coldplay has extended their North American tour through June. Included in the band's 45 city run will be a May 31 headline show at Hollywood Bowl and a June 13 show at Madison Square Garden. Coldplay's tour will also include a February 10 performance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno as well as a February 23 performance on the 45th Grammy Awards.

Coldplay's stunning sophomore album A Rush of Blood to the Head has been RIAA certified platinum (sold 5 million world wide) and has earned for the band two Grammy nominations: Best Alternative Music Album and Best Rock Performance by Duo or Group with Vocal. A Rush of Blood to the Head entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at #5 and, after over 23 weeks on the chart, is currently #20. Coldplay's 2000 debut album, Parachutes, has sold over 1.5 million copies in the U.S. (6 million worldwide) and was awarded the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.

"Clocks," the second single from A Rush of Blood to the Head, is a #1 track at adult alternative, as well as a top ten track on the modern rock, modern ac and the adult top 40 charts. The live concert video for the song is in "Blow Torch" rotation on MTV2; the new "Clocks" video, which was directed by Dominic Leung, has just been added to MTV and will also replace the original video on MTV2.
