LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) - R&B superstar Chris Brown accused of beating Rihanna, his Bajan girlfriend, is being portrayed as a spoiled youth with a "mean streak". Now he is 'remorseful' and doing some soul searching as cops investigate claims he beat up girlfriend Rihanna last Sunday his dad told to reporters. "He's reflecting on this situation. He's very remorseful. He's very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that [Rihanna's] okay. This music industry is very unforgiving when it comes to having indiscretions. He will continue to be a good person. He loves people. And like most of us, most humans, things will occur. And hopefully a person won't be judged simply on that alone. I think he's [going to] grow as an individual. He's going to take from this situation and learn from it. Let's just say he's home. He needed some time to get his thoughts together," Clinton Brown, 44, told yesterday. Chris Brown today has broken his silence with his first statement following the alleged beating he doled out to superstar girlfriend Rihanna - he posted an update on his private Facebook page: "You'll begin to see her true colors. Believe it!" Chris Brown, 19, is under investigation for felony battery after cops responded to a 911 call and found Rihanna "visibly injured" and alone on a dark street. So far, L.A. police have booked him on suspicion of making criminal threats, although that may not stick. A felony battery charge is a lock, however. Meanwhile, there is no word on Rihanna's whereabouts since the incident.
