New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - 100,000 songs sold certification
250,000 songs sold certification
500,000 songs sold certification

Each sales certification award will be approximately 16" x 19 1/2" and made out of single molded piece of cast resin. The album cover will be raised and inset above the resin under framed glass. Text will be etched on the glass to create an even deeper dimensionality. The first batch are shipping to the artists in March, 2009.

TuneCore.com, the leader in digital music delivery and distribution, has announced that it will give out 26 sales awards to its customers who have topped 500,000 songs sold; 250,000 songs sold; and 100,000 digital songs sold. Its customers have earned over 22 million dollars in music sales in two years. These massive numbers evidence that TuneCore catalyzed a new music industry model from the ashes of the old major label system. It's not just superstars like Nine Inch Nails who are selling hundreds of thousands of downloads. DIY rising talent like Josh Kelley, Meiko, Eric Hutchinson, Jeffree Star, and others are enjoying major sales using TuneCore distribution.

TuneCore is uniquely qualified to certify music sales as it has become the largest distributor of labels and artists in the world - the majority of music distributed is now occurring outside the traditional industry. There are more releases in one day via TuneCore than via any major over the course of a year. With its launch three years ago, TuneCore democratized and changed the music industry. The RIAA used to be uniquely qualified to certify music sales as its members distributed the majority of nationally released music but this is no longer the case.

Each sales certification award will be approximately 16" x 19 1/2" and made out of single molded piece of cast resin. The album cover will be raised and inset above the resin under framed glass. Text will be etched on the glass to create an even deeper dimensionality.

TuneCore.com, the industry leader in digital distribution, has changed the 100-year-old model of the music and video businesses. TuneCore has delivered the music of Aretha Franklin, Keith Richards, Bjork, Jay-Z, Public Enemy, Nine Inch Nails, and tens of thousands of others to the digital download stores. It is a low, flat fee service that delivers anyone's music and videos to iTunes, eMusic, Amazonmp3 and many other major download sites while taking no rights and no revenue from the sale of the music. Artists are building careers, selling significant volumes of music and generating revenue while keeping their rights utilizing the new model created by TuneCore.

Artists who have sold over 100,000 get a white TuneCore Sales Certification Award; selling over 250,000 songs nets a silver TuneCore Sales Certification Award; while over 500,000 sold gets a black TuneCore Sales Certification Award.
