Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Arista Records) - A chart-topping debut album and back-to-back Top 5 singles with 'Alyssa Lies' and 'Livin' Our Love Song' helped establish Jason Michael Carroll as Billboard's Top New Country Artist of 2007, and Carroll is on the airwaves now with his latest hit, 'Where I'm From,' the first single from his new album, Growing Up Is Getting Old, set for release on April 28.

The disc reunites Carroll with noted producer Don Gehman (Hootie & The Blowfish, John Mellencamp, Nanci Griffith, R.E.M.) who helmed Carroll's debut disc, Waitin' in the Country, which hit No 1 on the country charts in its first week of release.

Featuring songs from such noted tunesmiths as Tom Shapiro, Paul Overstreet, Keith Anderson, and Carroll himself (who co-penned three selections), Growing Up Is Getting Old is an apt title for Carroll's 10-song second collection.

Much like his own life, the title track, as well as such party anthems as 'Barn Burner' and 'Happened on a Saturday Night (Suzie Q),' are a reflection of Carroll as country's Gen-Y family man, with the youth and spirit to speak to a party crowd, but with the dedication and responsibilities that come with being a father of four. It's that grounding in love and family that lend such authenticity to album highlights like Carroll's co-write, 'We Threw It All Away,' 'Hurry Home,' and the poignant, post-divorce portrait, 'Tears.'

First single, 'Where I'm From,' with its theme of realizing the common ground we all share, despite superficial differences, continues to gain ground on the charts, this week perched at No 24 on the Billboard/R&R and Country Aircheck airplay charts. The digital single for 'Where I'm From' is available now at online music providers everywhere.
