Phoenix, Arizona (Top 40 Charts/ 101 Distribution) - Charismatic producer J.T. Tha Sorce and his record label ASAP Music Group have teamed up with 101 Distribution to release Charm City, a captivating mixtape album that features several of hip-hop's elite including Gucci Mane, Lil' Flip, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy and chart topper Lil' Wayne.

Although J.T. is paying homage to his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland by naming the project Charm City, his main objective is to take hip-hop back to its roots.

"It's real hip-hop," he explains. "I'm not knocking the different regions of music that are out right now - from the dance music with Soulja Boy to the Miami sound with Rick Ross. But I want people to feel the effect and really understand that I'm taking it back to the essence of hip-hop."

Charm City has already received glowing reviews from various publications including The Source, Rolling Stone and XXL Magazine, which gave the 18-track collection an XL rating. With singles such as the infectious "Phat Chain Glitter" featuring Gabbo and Jay Funk, and "Money Ova Here" featuring Stacks and Lil' Wayne invading radio, it appears as if this is only the beginning for the Baltimore producer.

In addition to his recent accolades in the music business, J.T. Tha Sorce has also achieved success in the film and television industry. He's been featured on HBO's The Wire, appeared in the 2006 dance biopic Step Up, and is slated to co-star alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek in Just To Get By, due in theatres later this year.
