Los Angeles, CA. (Top40 Charts/ CineMedia Promotions) - Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack for MONSTERS VS. ALIENS available digitally (iTunes and Amazon Digital) on March 10, 2009 and in stores on March 24, 2009. Henry Jackman (composer of additional music for Hancock, Kung Fu Panda, and The Da Vinci Code) composed the score.

Henry Jackman studied classical music in the UK at St. Paul's Cathedral Choir School, Eton College and Oxford University. An avid interest in technology and contemporary culture meant his formal education was mixed with the urban beats of club music and electronica.

In 2006 Jackman began working with Hans Zimmer. This association led to Jackman's contributions on several films including The Da Vinci Code, Pirates of the Caribbean 2, The Holiday, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, and The Simpsons Movie. He also worked with Trevor Horn, programming and executing string arrangements for the title track of the film Anastasia. He also co-produced "Born On A Sunday" with Trevor Horn on the Art of Noise album "The Seduction of Claude Debussy". Jackman's compositions have been heard on CNN, the BBC, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and The Discovery Channel.

When California girl Susan Murphy (voiced by Reese Witherspoon) is unwittingly clobbered by a meteor full of outer space gunk on her wedding day, she mysteriously grows to 49-feet-11-inches tall. Alerted to the threat of this new monster, the military jumps into action and Susan is captured and secreted away to a covert government compound. There, she is renamed Ginormica and placed in confinement with a ragtag group of other monsters: the brilliant but insect-headed Dr. Cockroach (Hugh Laurie), Ph.D.; the macho half-ape, half-fish The Missing Link (Will Arnett); the gelatinous and indestructible B.O.B. (Seth Rogan); and the 350-foot grub called Insectosaurus (Jimmy Kimmel). Their confinement is cut short, however, when a mysterious alien robot lands on Earth and begins storming the country. In a moment of desperation, The President (Stephen Colbert) is persuaded by General W.R. Monger (Kiefer Sutherland) to enlist the motley crew of Monsters to combat the Alien Robot and save the world from imminent destruction.

DreamWorks Pictures presents MONSTERS VS. ALIENS in theaters on March 27, 2009. MONSTERS VS. ALIENS original soundtrack on Lakeshore Records will be available via iTunes and Amazon Digital on March 10th and in stores on March 24, 2009.
