New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) -
Fresh off of a performance at Coachella,
James Morrison and his band will hit the stage of Webster Hall April 30th in support of his new album 'Songs For You, Truths For Me' (Interscope). The show is part of a 15-date tour of the United States and Canada.
Morrison has earned high praise for his heartfelt songwriting and smokey, soulful voice, drawing comparisons to greats from Stevie Wonder to Otis Redding. The Times of London praised his recent sold-out show at the Hammersmith Apollo, noting the 'tremendous range' and 'earthy, romantic appeal' of his voice, declaring that 'the assured performance suggested that even bigger bookings are to come.'
The past few months have been busy for Morrison: he performed several west coast dates with Adele and sold out four shows of his own in New York, Boston, Washington DC, and San Diego. He also performed on Ellen's big birthday show in February as well as on the Tonight Show. Finally, his new single 'Broken Strings' with Nelly Furtado is in rotation on MTV and VH1.
