He has been developing a national reputation as an energetic and engaging live performer, fine songwriter, and was among the artists voted 'Most
Wanted to Return' to the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival in Hillsdale, New York. Sing Out magazine says: 'With all the performers out there, an artist has to go beyond good...and Joe does.' www.joecrookston.com
Kelly Flint performed for 12 years as the lead singer for the lounge noir jazz-folk band, Dave's True Story-a Kerrville New Folk award winning duo that was the toast of New York and the Kennedy Center. But, deciding that she wanted to express herself with her own songs, Kelly put out a solo project in 2007-an album of sleek, post-modern folk songs that resonated more closely with her natural roots- the 70's folk of Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Jackson Browne. That album (Drive All Night) was featured in Performing Songwriter Magazine, went to No 19 on the Americana charts, won the Songwriter's Hall of Fame New Writer's Showcase for 2008 and Kelly was chosen to represent WFUV in the DJ Showcase at NERFA. She hosts a monthly musical talk show, The Upstairs Sessions, at the Living Room in New York and performs regularly up and down the east coast. www.kellyflint.com
