NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Universal Motown Records) - Texas based rock band Blue October's performance in Pittsburgh was canceled last night by the Fire Marshall and the Pittsburgh Police Department due to unsafe conditions and overcrowding. Just before the band was to take the stage at the Rex Theater, the Fire Marshall announced they were clearing the venue and the show could not continue. The room was immediately cleared and the venue was shut down. The band not wanting to disappoint their fans proceeded to unload their gear from the venue and bus to the street and actually played their show on the corner. This was met with a HUGE ovation from the Pittsburgh faithful who had already endured a difficult night and in the end got what they came for. Everyone went home happy. Blue October is currently touring the U.S. in support of their recently released hit album, Approaching Normal.
