Ben Folds will set the stage for Tori Amos!

NEW YORK (Tori Amos Fans Website) - Tori Amos has tapped Ben Folds to open for two of her upcoming shows. Folds, formerly of Ben Folds Five, will set the stage for Amos at the "Taxi Ride" singer's August 22 show in Holmdel, New Jersey and her August 23 show in Wantagh, New York.

Amos will perform the shows as part of the promotional tour for her Scarlet's Walk album. Amos categorized the band that is backing her at performances as a jazz trio without the jazz, noting how the album is very drum-oriented.
"Right now it's sort of a jazz trio without the jazz," Amos said. "Which is working out, in that Scarlet's Walk has a lot of rhythm within its context. Oh, who knows what I'll do in the future."
