New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Interscope Records) - Lady Gaga has become only the third artist in the history of Billboard's Mainstream Top 40 airplay chart to snag three No 1 songs from a debut album. Her third single, "LoveGame," climbs to the top spot this week, after her first two singles, " Just Dance" and " Poker Face" both reached the pole position earlier this year. She joins Ace of Base and Avril Lavigne in the Billboard "Hat-Trick Debut Club." Lady Gaga released her debut album, The Fame, (Streamline/Interscope Records) late last year, and since then, she has conquered the globe. Her singles have reached No 1 in 15 countries, internationally she has sold more than 20 million digital singles, and the album has sold over three million copies worldwide. Lady Gaga will return to the U.S. this fall on a nationwide tour with Kanye West.
