New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Livan Official Wbsite) - What does making music as a matter of survival sound like? A mixture of the raw industrial sounds of Nine Inch Nails, with the guitar force of the Clash and the flashy showmanship of Davie Bowie. London based singer-songwriter Livan has sculpted his musical creations from the dark depths of his own hardships and struggles while borrowing the best from these iconic artists. Born in Greece, Livan relocated to London after his family was exiled during a period of political turmoil. It was there in London that Livan descended to a life of drugs, alcohol and other undesirable activities and eventually found him in prison and later addicted to Heroin living in the slums of Athens and Greece. His turnaround came while rain soaked and drug addicted sleeping on a park bench and thinking 'This cannot be it, life has to be be better than this.' From this point on Livan dove head and heart first in creating music with a feverish desire to evolve. Livan's work has led him to collaborate with some of the UK's elite Producers such as Bacon and Quarmby (Bowie, Marley, John Meyer, The Pretenders, Kate Walsh) and David Creffied, an industry veteran who not only brought Embrace into the public domain (X6 Platinum) but also The Kaiser Chiefs. Livan's newest creation 'Happy Returns' is a feverish mix of industrial rock with the accessibility of pop punk.
