New York (Top40 Charts/ E1 Music) - E1 Music is thrilled to announce the groundbreaking release from Philadelphia's Time for Three, a dynamic "classically trained garage band" of musicians who have musically broken new ground. Classical music will never be the same once Time for Three releases their third album, "3 Fervent Travelers," on October 13th, 2009. With two violins and a stand up bass, TF3 breaks all the rules with its crossover-fusion. Bluegrass, jazz, Americana and jam band fans will come along for the amazing journey that classical fans across the country have already experienced in concert halls.

Violinists Zachary De Pue, Nick Kendall and Bassist Ranaan Meyer make up Time for Three. The trio met as student musicians who played together for fun while students at Philadelphia's Curtis Institute of Music. They earned a reputation as a charismatic ensemble with limitless enthusiasm and no musical boundaries. Zach De Pue and Nick Kendall first discovered their mutual love of fiddling in the country western and bluegrass styles. Then bassist Ranaan Meyer introduced them to his deep roots in jazz and improvisation. After considerable experimentation, the three officially formed Time for Three.

The group performs over 150 concerts a year as diverse as its music: from featured guest soloists with The Philadelphia Orchestra to opening for k.d. lang at Philadelphia's Kimmel Center. They divide their time between playing their own original music in solo shows and performing as featured soloists with orchestras around the world. In 2010 they will premiere a new work by E1 composer Chris Brubeck with the Boston Pops and Keith Lockhart. In addition to collaborating with Branford Marsalis they have worked with conductor Leonard Slatkin and composers such as Jennifer Higdon and William Bolcom. They have graced prestigious stages across the nation including Carnegie Hall, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, the 92nd Street Y in New York, and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. During the summer of 2009 they made their debut with the Chicago Symphony and Christoph Eschenbach at the esteemed Ravinia Festival.

These three string virtuosos transcend traditional performance genres, whether it's Brahms, Leonard Cohen, Imogen Heap or The Beatles. Their arrangements are fresh and fun and are tailored for youth. The group's mission is based in community outreach and they continue to perform in schools opening the eyes and ears of the next generation of music lovers. They have helped raise 8 million dollars for Paul Newman's Camps along with Alec Baldwin, Whoopi Goldberg, Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, and Mikhail Baryshnikov.

This new album will mainly feature original TF3 compositions along with classics from Leonard Cohen and Charlie Rouse.
