New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ TicketNetwork/ TicketLiquidator) - TicketLiquidator, the leading provider of the world's most extensive ticket inventory for hard-to-find, low-priced tickets, announced today that KISS tickets are available for purchase at affordable prices on TicketLiquidator.com

KISS, one of the most recognizable bands in hard rock history, is going on tour to support the pending release of "Sonic Boom," its first studio album in over a decade. The KISS Alive 35 tour, which began in Europe last year, celebrates the band's thirty-five year existence, and will kick off in late September 2009 with tour dates continuing throughout December 2009.

Made famous by their larger-than-life and often campy stage presence, the New York-based band wasn't always so popular. KISS performed to an audience of three in 1973 before the makeup and leather clad rockers made it big. KISS soon rose to prominence when word spread about their far-out concerts featuring extreme pyrotechnics, blood-spitting antics and larger-than-life costumes.

Inspired by the onstage dramatics of Alice Cooper, KISS adopted the form of supernatural beings. Gene "The Demon" Simmons and Paul "Star Child" Stanley are still active members of the group while Peter "Cat Man" Criss has gone on to pursue solo efforts.

KISS' first chart-topping single, "Rock and Roll All Nite," wasn't released until 1975 and it became known as the band's signature track; the song has closed every KISS concert since 1976. In total, KISS has released twenty-four gold albums and was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Hard Rock Performance category for "Psycho Circus" in 1999.

"KISS fans have the opportunity to see their favorite heavy metal band live during one of the most anticipated concerts of the year," stated Alexandra Owens, Managing Editor. "This will be the first time in several years that KISS will perform new material to live audiences."

Due to their boisterous and electrifying personas, KISS joined the ranks of bands such as Judas Priest, Queen and Def Leppard. They have influenced the likes of Motley Crue and Cheap Trick and have played at the Winter Olympics in 2002 and Super Bowl XXXIII. The opportunity to see KISS in concert doesn't come around often making KISS Alive 35 Tour tickets the TicketLiquidator Ticket of the Week.
