New York (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Consummate saxophonist and composer Myron Walden has a busy September and October planned, with hometown New York performances planned by six of his musical projects.

After a recording hiatus of four years, Walden has recorded three albums for Demi Records, the first to hit stores with the November 17 of 'Momentum,' followed by the January, 2010 releases of 'In This World' and 'Countrified.' During that period, Walden wrote feverishly and wood-shedded, learning the tenor saxophone. The refreshed voice lends depths of feeling to his creative new compositions. In anticipation of the three upcoming releases, New Yorkers can check out six different Walden bands live during September and October.

'Momentum' is inspired by the range of expression from Miles Davis' 1960s bands recordings and compositions. This fall's performances include Walden on tenor saxophone, with Darren Barrett on trumpet, Eden Ladin on piano, Yasushi Nakamura on bass, and John Davis on drums.

'In This World' is a project that captures feelings of reflection. This aggregation features Walden on tenor, soprano saxophones and bass clarinet, Jon Cowherd on piano, Mike Moreno on acoustic and electric guitar, Yasushi Nakamura on bass, and Obed Calviare on drums.

'Countrified' is a funky, downhome project where southern fried soul meets a little blues and rock and roll. For the performance Jared Gold plays organ and Kenneth Salters is on the drums. His other projects will also take the stage:

'Stanley' is a tribute to the works of Stanley Turrentine. This group features Walden on tenor saxophone, Jared Gold on organ and Brandon Lewis on drums.

'Higher Ground' is a project reflecting music from Walden's recordings 'Higher Ground' (2002) and 'This Way' (2005). The show features "serpentine interplay between the two saxophonists" (NY Times). Walden will play alto, with Marcus Strickland on tenor, Vincente Archer on bass, and EJ Strickland on drums.

'Apex' whittles Walden's sound down to a trio. Walden, on alto, is accompanied by Dwaye Burno on bass and Eric McPherson on drums.
