New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Sounds Of Zilence) - This is the debut album of Swedish act MAGNA CARTA CARTEL.
It is a 11 track experience of what the band refers to as 'soundtracks for movies yet unmade'. With more than half the album being instrumental, the rest with vocals, it fits perfectly for all kinds of days: lonely times of wonder, while thrashing a party, when getting laid, when hating your ex, at dawn alone in camp at your favorite festival with the rest of the gang passed out, on the first bit on your roadtrip, when you cannot decide what to listen to, when stopping to smoke or when starting to smoke!
Mind you - the album consists of one flirt with Ralph Lundsten (whom willingly gave MCC his blessing), one appearance of the old fo B Persner (M & A's dad that is), a poem spoken like true heartache by local star Kjell G Larsson who lent MCC his voice for "Du Lurade Mig", aswell as, and this is truly spectacular - an actual sample of the Swedish jealousy during the whole of Valiant Visions Dawn track, a sample that cannot easily be heard, but so much more felt in ones guts! : )

This is a collection of songs with a lot of feeling to them. Or, as someone depicted the band:

Their music reminds of Vangelis meeting Tom Petty, trying to reach U2, willing to be Joy Division, feeling like ABBA, longing to be Brian Eno, remembering Jean Michel Jarre, looking at Metallica, sleeping with Mike Oldfield, dancing to Koto, hunting the Beatles, killing Morricone in a duel, snorting to Moroder etc etc. '
