New York (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Brooklyn-raised Broadway star Capathia Jenkins and Guggenheim-honored guitarist and songwriter Louis Rosen will embark on a four-show run at Joe's Pub this November, performing songs from their most dynamic album yet, 'The Ache of Possibility.' The dates are Sunday, November 8; Saturday, November 14; Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22, at 7PM.

Joe's Pub Artistic Director Shanta Thake said of Jenkins and Rosen's live performances: "The shows we do annually with Capathia and Louis are always an incredible experience and an audience favorite. Seeing such a powerhouse vocalist sing these fantastic songs and arrangements in the intimate setting of Joe's Pub is something we all look forward to."

Celebrated author Nikki Giovanni, whose poems provide the lyrics for four songs on 'The Ache of Possibility,' will also join Rosen and Jenkins for the final performance on November 22, to read the selections that inspired those tracks.

Jenkins and Rosen, beloved figures on the NYC music scene who are best known for two previous sold-out multi-night runs at Joe's Pub, imbue 'The Ache of Possibility' with a host of musical influences. The choir music that Jenkins grew up singing in Brooklyn mingles with the blues that Rosen absorbed during his childhood on the south side of Chicago; jazz, pop, Broadway, and even folk round out the aural palette on this disc that Rosen describes as " love, politics, choices, hope, and optimism about the future. "

Backing Jenkins and Rosen is an all-star band of New York session players: Andrew Sterman (saxophones, flute and clarinet) Rob Moose (violin and electric guitar) Richie Vitatle (trumpet and fluegelhorn) Mark Sherman (vibraphone), Dave Phillips (acoustic & electric bass) Gary Seligson (Drums), and Aisha de Haas (background vocals).
